Review - Pride Of Cows Milk

When I was a kid, we used to get fresh milk from our farm and there really is nothing like it!!

As I grew up, life became all about instant food and packed / frozen meals so, it came as no surprise that even fresh milk was a passe and packed  milk replaced it.

Three years ago, when my daughter was ready to have cow's milk; like most moms I too wanted to provide fresh milk to her, but the TV reports across news channels about contamination of milk got me really worried. Ever since I decided to say goodbye to the milkman (who just might be mixing up stuff in the milk) and got Nestle (tetra packed milk) instead.

Now recently, Pride of Cows milk came as a surprise to me. I tried it by ordering a sample and the rich & creamy taste really did remind me of my childhood days when we used to get farm fresh milk everyday. In fact, quite a few of my friends have tried it and have loved it especially for their children.

My overall rating for Pride of Cows Milk is 8 out of 10. One point reduced for the pricing - as some Parents In Powai might find it a little expensive at Rs.75/- per bottle.

The other point deducted for the fact that this has to be immediately refrigerated unlike the Nestle tetra pack which can be stored without refrigeration till the carton is opened.
But the point is that this is fresh off the farm while Nestle is not.

So, if you really love and appreciate fresh authentic milk, then Pride of cows is totally worth it; especially for kids.
I would gladly recommend it to parents to try it out. To get a free sample bottle simply send your contact details to vidhirshah@prideofcows.com or bookings@prideofcows.com and you could try Pride of Cows and judge the milk quality yourself.

At Rs. 75/- a bottle, I guess it's real steep and that too I suppose it does not have a long shelf life.

Why are they using Foreign Breed Holstein? friends please search online foreign breed are not original pedigree of cows they are mix bred and there milk contains A1 beta casein which is harmful for human consumption. Best breed of cows are our Indian Desi cows which has only A2 beta casein which is good for human consumption.

Pride of Cows definitely gets a thumbs up for the quality of milk it delivers. One of the rare brand that considers Milk delivery as service and not a business. Keep up the purity and service. Thanks.

Pride of cows deserves a review for their efforts they put in delivering pure milk on time. When a new brand comes to market everyone has same question, how do you rate it compared to others??.. So I would like to rate them. Rating out of 5
Taste - 4
Freshness - 5
Quality - 5
Delivery - 4 + 1 (For their on time delivery)
Price - 4 ( A bit on higher side but worth every penny)
Worth - 5
A must drink milk for people who are looking for pure milk.

I just got my first bottle. Does one have to boil this milk or can it be used straight from the bottle?

I stay at Lake Homes, Powai and have been a regular customer of Pride of Cow. Recently I had come to know about A1/A2 grade of Milk and when i had questioned Pride of Cow regarding the same, the query remain unanswered. Accordingly i had stopped the services of Pride of Cow as on date and is looking for A2 grade of Milk, which is considered to be better than A1 grade of milk.

Unfortunately, I suppose technology to differentiate between both is not available and one has no choice buy to trust the milk supplier. Kesariya Farm claims of supplying A2 cows milk (haven tried yet as it is very expensive - Rs. 100 / litre). Came to know about Pathmeda milk from a friend from Rajasthan (who deals in organic food). Currently everyday about 60,000 ltrs of Pathmeda milk arrives in Mumbai. Price wise they seem to be reasonable (Rs. 68 / litre), have called for a sample and will post the review shortly.

I used Pride of cows for a long time and was very happy with it until I discovered the difference between A1 and A2 milk. As far as the advertisement goes Pride of cows uses Holstein cows. So I stopped using it. I have now started Provilac milk which is A2 milk. It takes time to get used to its taste but I tastes like milk from desi cow. Happy with Provilac for now.
