While there are many pre schools available in Powai there are just a few rare ones which are exceptionally good.
As parents we want the best for our child and while searching for pre schools for my daughter the most highly recommended pre schools were Vivero and Just Kiddin' So I decided to check them out and they really did not disappoint.
Vivero International - This is a relatively new institution which has quickly become popular due to its lovely infrastructure, teachers and method of teaching.
Facts:
Vivero offers programs for children from 18 months to 6 years of age and follows an inquiry based learning curriculum.
It is one of the few pre schools in Powai with ample outdoor and indoor space. The place has lots of natural light, is open and the staff is a pleasure to interact with. In fact, this is the most child friendly pre school that I have seen so far.
The best part I liked about the school is the detailed report that they give parents which mentions the special talents as well as focus areas specifically for your child and how much the child has learnt with them. Pre schooling cannot get more personalised than this.
Though, some parents may find the school fee a bit expensive hence I would give them a rating of 9/10.

Completely agree, Chandini. We regret having sent our child to Vivero International. Like everyone got duped by the branding, Eton House alliance, infrastructure, and glib talk. Nowhere have I seen such apathy towards kids. One of the teachers at Vivero, Ms. Jasleen Arora, in the name of discipline terrorises kids and treats them like 'toys'. Her philosophy while dealing with parents is 'my way or the highway'. If you are considering Vivero International Pre-School Powai do so at your own risk!!!.
You must visit TOTS COTTAGE - near Supreme Business Park. From personal experience, I can say its hands-down the BEST Pre-school & Day Center in Powai. It is located in a lovely Cottage setting and has an amazingly large outdoor garden area for kids play. The staff is extremely professional & highly experienced.

kidzee is the best preschool in Powai .
Hi friends my 2 1/2 year daughter is going to euro kids powai and i find it a good pre school .They provide regular info on whats been done week wise.They have a menu based tiffin system in which the moms are provided with a menu and can give tiffins accordingly.She is learning well.

I think the proximity of your house / office (in case you work) should be a priority to clinch the decision.

Edify, treehouse, happyminds, just kiddin, kidzee, jumbo kids, nahar all seem like good options and hence I'm terribly confused. Can someone help give me a good idea as to, what to do?!

As per my experience as a mother of 2 I can say that more or less all pre schools are pretty much the same. The criteria that matter most for me personally are 1. its safe & hygienic and 2. Its close to your home or office in case you are working so that you can reach quickly in case of emergency.

I visited this blog few years back and so far this seems only blog about Parenting in Powai. Nice one.
My son will be 1.5 years and am looking for day care for him. My requiremnets are:
Clean and hygienic place/kid friendly toilet, clean toilet
not more than 2-3 kids of 1-2 yr old handled by one maushi/didi
Clean and hygienic maushi/didi with no habit of chewing tobacco or other stuff
Maushi treats kid as an independent and not think yeh toh baccha hain.
Outdoor space to play and kid friendly toys and outdoor area
true comments given in diary about quantity of food eaten by kid
some activities performed which bring creativity, develops gud values and lets kids enjoy(not looking for pre-school)
I live in Lake homes and would like to know if there are any options matching my expectation. So far I have not visited any day care.
I am looking for a montessori for my daughter and came across peace montessori at Lake homes while I was checking online. Any reviews on that???

I have heard great reviews about Peace Montessori...though my daughter preferred a play school and so does my son who goes to Just Kiddin which I feel is a great playschool, in case you want to check out a playschool too.
